Cleveland’s Crixás Gold Hub of projects is located in Goiás state in central Brazil.
The Company’s most advanced project in the Crixás Gold Hub is the Premier Gold Mine JV, from where gold production has commenced.
A cluster of near-by exploration projects within the Hub may, in time, provide further tonnages to the Premier mill, with the O Capitão gold project planned for processing at Premier Mine.
Access to infrastructure, mine services, contractors and labour in the project area is very good, with the ‘mining town’ of Crixás in walking distance from the Premier tenements. The national capital, Brasilia, and the state capital, Goiania, are 260km and 270km away respectively.
Commercial production of gold at the Premier Gold Mine started in late 2012. Production of between 10,000 and 20,000 ounces per annum is anticipated for the Stage 1 plant. The addition of chemical processing, doubling the capacity of the plant, and higher grade throughput from the O Capitao project is expected to double production. The Company is in the process of applying for two Utilisation Guides for the O Capitao project, which would allow Cleveland to mine at O Capitao and process the ore at Premier.
Cleveland’s 100%-owned Mara Rosa project is also in the state of Goias.
All projects are subject to excellent mining legislation, pro-mining governments, access to existing infrastructure, access to skilled labour, safe operating environments and are located in areas with track-records for successful mining.
